this is an old application that you may have already.
remove sim from handset turn on and key in *#9998*324#
from Test Mode Screen press 9 then 6 then 2.
This puts handset in Qualcomm USB mode instead of Samsung USB mode.
Attach USB cable to phone and plug it into PC.
When Driver install wizard starts select the option to install drivers from a specific location and direct wizard to the folder where you placed the drivers earlier. (Do not let the wizard install the drivers automatically as it will find and install the wrong ones).
When Qualcomm drivers are installed correctly use Device Manager to assertain the Com Port number the Qualcomm Test Interface is installed on.
Start the Software and select phone type and Com port. for Z140 or Z140v use Z300. Click on Write IMEI and enter your IMEI number less the last check digit. Click OK and it should write it to the phone.
Now Exit program uncouple cable and reboot the phone. check IMEI if it's ok then return to Test Mode and press 9 then 6 then 1 to put the phone back into Samsung USB mode.
If like me you have also wiped your bluetooth address then this can be recalculated and put back in. I have cribbed all this from juuso113s post in this thread. http:///vbb/showthread.php?t=268643
