Yu-Gi-Oh fanfiction. How would I write this?

Well, in the anime, Yami Yugi makes this noise when he nods that sounds sort of like: 'Hng' or H'm', but it looks ridiculous when I write this as dialogue. So I was wondering if there was a way I could describe it instead. I want the readers to be able to make the connection from my writing to the particular sound he makes. How do you think I can write this as dialogue or describe it?
