You've Got The Touch

is it some thing like ?

You got the touch
You got the power

After all, is said and done
You've never walked, you've never run,
You're a winner

You got the moves,
you know the streets
Break the rules, take the heat

You're nobody's fool......

You're at your best, when when the goin' gets rough
You've been put to the test, but it's never enough

You got the touch
You got the power

When all hell's breakin' loose
You'll be riding the eye of the storm

You got the heart
You got the motion

You know that when things get too tough
You got the touch

You never bend, you never break
You seem to know just what it takes
You're a fighter

It's in the blood, it's in the will
It's in the mighty hanRAB of steel
When you're standin' your ground

And you never get hit when your back's to the wall
Gonna fight to the end and you're takin' it all

You got the touch
You got the power

When all hell's breakin' loose
You'll be riding the eye of the storm

You got the heart
You got the motion

You know that when things get too tough
You got the touch

You're fightin' fire with fire
You know you got the touch

You're at your best when when the road gets rough
You've been put to the test, but it's never enough

You got the touch
You got the power

You got the touch
You got the power

A few years back, on a radio show, a listener pointed out that "The Touch", used in Boogie Nights originated from Transformers: The Movie. The stupid film critic adamantly denied this, probably out of snobbery as much as ignorance.

Stan Bush is a hero. I have the video for the song, and he looks really camera shy whilst pretending to play the guitar.

Definately the greatest soundtrack ever to have existed though. The Touch, Dare and Instruments of Destruction all rock.

80's rock forever!

Stan Bush recorded two new songs for Bay's Transformers film - a new version of The Touch (which is brilliant), and a track called Til all are One (which is... errrr... okayish). Both were rejected, but can be heard on his last album In This Life.

This is the same Bay that said we couldn't have Soundwave in the film or Megatron turning into a gun because the public wouldn't understand how big robots could become small objects...

and then gave us a mountain sized cube which shrunk to the size of a hatbox?

Back on topic though Instruments of Destruction should have made it onto the soundtrack.

Although I still haven't come to terms with Brawn, Prowl, Ratchet and Ironhide all expiring to that tune

Argh.... My dad took me to see the film at the cinema, and the bastarRAB killed off my favourite autobot (Prowl) in the first 15 mins. I was not a happy boy.

That said, a guy I know too his 9 year old son to see the Bay film whilst clutching his brand new Jazz toy. That didn't end well either.
