Youtube videos play on high speed? Maybe adobe flash player problem?

Not sure what's wrong with my computer. The sound system is plugged in correctly (I think..) and when I go to Youtube to play a video, it plays it in highspeed, like the video's fast forwarded, when it's really not. And It plays it without sound. This goes for all things that require the flash player. My myspace song does the same thing, The timing's going double speed but there's no sound. What could be wrong?
