Your Top Five Anime Characters and Why

I might as well give this a go.

1. Kuro Hazama(AKA Black Jack from the Black Jack series): A brilliant surgeon with "the hands of god". Mysterious, intelligent, the human race owes everything to this man. He's one of the most complex characters I've ever seen in a series, but at the same time he's simplistic. He can cure just about anything, and he's willing to even risk his own life to save someone else's. He has this aura around him that makes you feel like he can do absolutely anything, and that he always knows what to do in any sort of situation.

2. Vash The Stampede(Trigun): At first glance, he's a bumbling idiot who does nothing but cry and eat doughnuts. Take a harder glance, and you can see a tortured soul who's endured many struggles and hardships in his life. Vash has been one of the iconic figures in anime for nearly the past decade. He's kind, caring, and promotes true peace for the human race. He sticks by his morals and beliefs to the teeth, no matter what, even when it cost him more pain and more suffering.

A very strong person, and I respect that.

3. Sana kurada(Kodocha): The most hyper little kid you'll ever see in a series, you can't help but admire her willingness to go out of her way to help out any people she see's that needs help. Someone who always tries to keep a smile on her face and think positive, no matter what the situation is.

Also her rapping is nothing short of brilliant. Whoever came up with the idea of her rapping in nearly every episode, you're awesome.

4. Mugen(Samurai Champloo): He's rude, he's vulgar, and he can't read. What makes him so likeable at all? I have no idea myself, but Mugen has always been an interesting character to me. He's someone who just takes life as it is, and never blames anyone else. A true free roaming spirit, with one of the most stylish and unique sword fighting styles ever shown. A breath of fresh air in the stale samurai genre, he's the complete opposite of your typical warrior.

5. Ars

1.Luffy(One Piece series): At first glance of this Manga/Anime, and at Luffy, he appears to be just some typical, terribly done character and series, but his heart, determination in his fights. So much about him that makes him the top on my list next to....

2.Rion(Note: An upcoming series/Dreams of a Absolution): After reading the book, and the pre-manga chapters taking place before the actual series, I already put him at the top of my list. He fought till the very end, not regretting any of his descisions in life, or anything he had done up to that point. His fighting skill and the way he shrugs off even the most powerfull attacks making them seem as if they did no damage, when they cleary did damage is really neat. When battling the other character (They didn't say his name), even though his reputation was so high and respected, he fought for what he felt was right. Though in the end he died, he died so honorably, and what he was fighting to protect (A little baby who was soon to be killed for being a witch), was amazing. Normally his attitude towards people like that, he didn't care. But when they saw that it was a baby, he didn't care who it was. He took on 2 strong people, and the battle lastest for along time. They broke all the bones in his body, and he still somehow managed to stand, before his death. Simply amazing.

3.Sakura(Naruto): The main reason she is on my top 5 Anime Characters list, is because she managed to stay along and keep up with, if even barely, with all of the other ninja's who had something special going for them, when she was just a normal Ninja.

4.Lelouch(Code Geass): Simply cunning, and a expert at tactics, and managed to take over the entire world after starting off so small.

5.Zoro(One Piece): His skills with his Katana are unmatched by any other in any other show as far as I am concerned.

I really only have one on my top spot well maybe a few from the same Anime though.
[My favorites, No particular Order]

Code Geass-Lelouch:
He is an absolute genius, He can find ways to get out of any predicament

Code Geass-Shirley:
Her affection for Lelouch is never ending, and even after the things that lelouch did to her father, It would usually be unforgivable but she compromised and sadly (Spoiler) Died in the end.

Code Geass- Kallen:
Possibly one of the best pilots in the entire series, she was able to beat any Nightmare that came across her path. As well as one of the hottest Yes I admit..

Inuyasha-Kagome:
Shes probably the only one that could deal with Inuyasha in the first place and a marksman that had spiritual power, and detect shikon jewels, Hated Kikyo though. I did want to see Kikyos head get lobbed off by Kagome
KagXInu Fan Back off.

Ruroni Kenshin- Kenshin:
I Don't remember much of the anime, But Ill go from memory. He was one of most ruthless killers, Yet he turned a new leaf to help the "Damsel In Distress" And he was never afraid to kill, (If it was necessary)

Inuyasha-Inuyasha:
What can I say he was a half demon who had a huge sword that could kill 100 demons with one swing, Shoot crystals, Turn Red Break Barriers, Opens a portal to the underworld,

Yu Yu Hakusho- Yusuke:
The average high school delinquent turned hero, Though the child could have survived without Yusuke, He decided that it would be necessary to jump out in front of the vehicle to save the child's life. Now he saves the entire world from the demons that can potentially cause the Apocalypse.

Moka-Rosario Vampire:
Cute regular form, Somewhat scary at her full potential, She was a vampire who craved the blood of humans, Yet she was befriended by a human, Which was also smothered by loads of other girls who just couldn't get enough of him

Uruhara Kisuke - Bleach:
Pretty much had the lowdown on whats been going on the entire series and just been pulling the strings to (hopefully) help bring Aizen down at the end of it all. I honestly think he may "out-Aizen" Aizen himself.

L Lawliet - Death Note:
Probably one of the smartest characters in show ever, but also had some ridiculous habits that made him loveable and entertaining. The back and forth constantly going on between him and Light really made Death Note one of the better shows I've seen.

Nicholas D. Wolfwood - Trigun:
He basically represented humanity through the series. He was capable of succumbing to some darker urges and desires and wasn't always capable of following through without fail of not killing others, unlike Vash, but he still redeemed himself in the end as far as I'm concerned. Anywho, Trigun was the first "real" anime I saw (you know, not counting DBZ) and I always thought Wolfwood was a good character.

Roronoa Zoro - One Piece:
"The Cool Pose"
"Ultimate Janken"
"You didn't do it right."

Osaka (Ayumu Kasuga) - Azumanga Daioh:
I don't think theres a specific thing I could choose here that makes her one of my favorites, it's basically everything.
