Your Thoughts on....?

Well as anime fans many of you have experienced anime in many different forms so I shall ask 4 questions and answer what you think?

Anime Convention - In your opinion where do you see them going in the near future?

Fansub groups - easy question they translate for us so we can watch?

Companies like Funimation and Crunchyroll broadcasting an anime subbed same day usually an hour or so after the anime airs? what do you think of this

Cosplay? Do you or will you ever?

1. Nowhere different. Anime conventions will likely never change from what they are.

2. Yes?

3. I think it's great. It allows people from anywhere the world to stay current with new episodes of anime. That's wonderful.

4. No I don't, and never have. I don't see why I wouldn't, though no one in the group of friends I associate with would ever do it, and cosplaying alone is just weird.

1. I went to 4 anicons prior, and I am looking into 1 in November.
2. I don't watch fansubs.
3. Good I guess.
4. There are very few anime characters I (a big, black guy) can cosplay as. I do plan on in the future (next year) to cosplay as Dutch from Black Lagoon.

1. I've been to many conventions, including anime cons. The problem with anime cons is that I've outgrown them. If there was an anime con made for adults in my area, I would be more interested in attending. As it is, I'm passing up the local anime con in 2011 to instead attend other cons in the area.

2. I haven't had to use a fansub in a long time. When I was using them was when they were needed (80's). They really aren't needed anymore.

3. Can't see anything wrong with it.

4. I haven't. If I did, there are very few characters I could go as. As such, I'm not really interested.

1. Anime cons dont really have much more to change. There in huge venues and they do pretty much the lot.

2. I dont watch fansubs.

3. I think its fine. Its good for people who dont have the tv channels with them on. So you just watch them on the site.

4. I love Cosplay. I think its great because alot of the anime girls have really cute outfits.

1. Up, up, and away! They will stay where they are.
2. When alcohol was banned in the U.S., bootleggers emerged. They will always be around.
3. Sounds wonderful. After a week, you would not notice the delay at all.
4. Never with exceptions.

1. I guess they'll stay the same. I've only ever been to one, and mainly for the SF portion.
2. As long as the series being subbed isn't licensed or being subbed by said licensing company, then they're A-Okay with me.
3. I think it's the greatest thing ever. Seriously. Most fansubbers don't do it as fast as FUNi.
4. Depends on the cosplay. If it's a character from a SOL anime that just wears normal clothes and has normal hair, etc., sure, why not?

I've always appreciated fansubs and the people who work for them, they for free help people get to see their animes even if the subbing isnt always right...(cept chinese subbers who then change it to english) but places like Funi and Crunchyroll have it right, why fear about if we will get to see the next episode when they do it for us legit by working with the companies, and this is a form or fansubbing but well thought out and everyone wins.

I hope to go to more cons and meet more ppl there I'm debating on going to cons around the US and making a couple of cosplays

1.I think conventions won't really change.
2. I don't watch fansubs
3.I really thank them. You could keep up on animes without having to search for a long time.
4. I don't really like cosplaying.
