Your first Motorcycle???

Aeon, that's funny I was a junior in high school too when the '92 ZX7 came out. Then in '96 I worked at a Safeway with a guy who had one and he rode it to work everyday. I thought it was the coolest bike ever! It's funny that I ended up with one. They were way ahead of their time, especially with their styling. Hell they didn't really change very much all the way up until they stopped making them on 2003.

Yeah I'm pretty lucky, my girl is way cool, and I'm man enough to admit that I ride because of her. I was a pocketbike racer before I met her, but that's a whole different story. I keep trying to get her on an 848, or a Monster or something, but she loves her 600RR so who am I to argue with that. I love my 600RR too.

Nice job on starting this thread. It brings back great memories, and it's cool to see what everyone started out on.

Okay, so thinking back to my pocketbike racing days now, I guess these were really my first bikes. I got my ZX7 around this time too, but I had these first. I raced for 2 years with these little things. WAY too much fun, and scary fast! 65MPH+ on our fastest track with the right gearing, and they got there quick! These are all spendy Italian bikes too, no crappy knock offs, and they'll wheelie you on your head before you know what hit you! I don't have a picture handy of the Polini 910, but I soon upgraded to the Yellow DM 10HP, and then to the Red DM 12HP! Good times.

Pretty cool Natedogg!! I am really wanting to get one of these to carry in our trailer with our other bikes. Probably be one of the cheaper China jobs though but envious of the ones you have had.
 
Mine was a '00 Sv650. Then I got an '02 Sv650S, then moved onto a 2004 748 and a 2007 ZX6R... Now the 1098. Its been an interesting evolution...
 
My first bike was a new ZX-7R when I was 18. Damn, that thing was heavy, but awesome to ride. Then I switched to a new 02 CBR 954rr. Then after I purchased a used 996. Fell in love with Ducati's and V-twins. I stopped riding for about 4 years and just got my 1098s last year. It's going to be all Ducati's from now on.
 
I had a Kawi KE100 when I was 12 but never really rode it much
Sold it at 16 (2004) to buy an 02 F4i. The F4i soon became a track bike and I bought a 600RR in 05 for street riding. Bought an SV650 race bike at the end of 06. In 07 I sold the 600RR and F4i (still miss the F4i) to buy my M695.

Wow im such a newb...My first bike was a wonderful white 08 848 that died last week in azuza canyon so now im thinking a new white1198.
 
Also known overseas as the Honda Bros. This pic's from a 1988 brochure.
Liquid cooled 647 cc V-twin and a single sided swingarm designed by ELF. I recently had to go to a "vintage" bike parts source to get the fork seals. Wow. Some of the wiring insulation and rubber are beginning to crack and deteriorate, so I have to occasionally trouble shoot with the multi-meter, but it's a labor of love. Pure hooligan machine. Totally analogue bike with easy maintenance. It'll last forever if I can get the parts. Great memories. Thanks Aeon.
