your fav childhood tv programme

I had two favorites.

Rainbow. when Rod Jane and Freddy used to sing. I loved Zippy. I did not like it when Bungle zipped his mouth up, grrr

And

Thomas the tank engine. No other girls who was my frienRAB liked it. I had all the books and used to make my mum rent out from the video store all the videos. I didn't actually like 'Thomas' though, he got on my nerves and I didn't get why he was always the favorite. lol

My favorite engines were James, Gordan, and Henry. In fact I remember clearly being about 5, and watching an episode when Henry, a big green engine, broke down. As punishment The fat controller, bricked him up in a tunnel, took of his wheels and stuff and left him there, which is rather harsh. It broke my heart and I cried and refused to watch it until he was rescued.

I have to also mention
Allsorts
You and me
Button moon
Puddle lane

I watched all of those as well

I also liked play days. I used to watch it whenever I was off school.

My favorite stops were Why Bird, The Roundabout stop with Mr Jolly, The Tent shop, were they put on plays, and one with Poppy the cat.

The worst stop was Peggy patch stop. she was always going round gardens, markets, castles and stuff being all educational I think. I found her really boring.
For some reason whenever I was off school ill, it was nearly always her stop as well.

Fireball XL5
ThunderbirRAB, Joe90 & Captain Scarlet
Magpie
The Great Egg Race
It's a Knockout
Worzel Gummidge
Dr Who
Sapphire & Steel
Dangerman

Yep.My favourite childhood programmes were The clangers,Crackerjack,Mary Mungo and Midge,Swap shop,Heidi,Shang-a-Lang and Cheggers plays pop:o

Catweazle.

I will never forget the ending of last episode of the first series when Carrot standing by the lake realises too late that Catweazle and his magic is for real and that he really has travelled through time but in the blink of an eye Catweazle his friend will disappear back to the Norman times and he will never see him again and the viewer is left with Carrot shouting in dispare as Catweazle disappears " Catweazle........Catweazle....will I see you again

I cried my eyes out.

I used to love Thomas The Tank Engine too, I had (and might have somewhere) several videos, a collection of models of the engines and several books. My favourite engine was Gordon 'cause he was always getting into trouble!

:D:D;)

Michael Aspel started out on that, and there was the legendary Peter Glaze.

I remember when Magpie started. What a change from Blue Peter. I really fancied that Susan Stranks.and later on there was Jenny Hanley, better looking than Valerie Singleton.

*Sob* we weren't allowed a TV in our house.

I'd have phoned childline but it wasn't invented and anyway I wouldn't have seen the adverts.
