Hello:

I use a Treo 755p. Love it.

I want to go back to Palm Desktop 4.1.

I cleaned up the old files, deleted them, backed up my stuff, deleted registry entries, installed Palm Desktop 4.1.4 from disc and now I get this when I start the desktiop:

"Your current security settings prohibit running activeX controls on this page. As a result, the page may not display correctly".

I do not use Internet Explorer. My internet security options for ActiveX are all set to enable, and my registry entries are at 1.
 
I was getting this message when I tried to open palm desktop. I tried removing everything that had to do with palm in the c drive and on the registry. When I reinstalled my hotsync would not work because of a dll problem. I did a system restore and used a different uninstall tool and the dll problem was no longer there when I reinstalled the palm software. I am guessing that there were two copies of the dll and this was part of the problem. I installed the desktop 4.1.4e and it know works.
