...conviction and still got in? Did they get past the background check?
i dont need a security clearnace and may try to get by not telling anyone about my possession charge marijuana i wasnt arrested for it just fined and i paid the ticket.
 
If it was a misdemeanor, which it sounds like it was since it was a fine, just tell them. It's waivable. If you don't tell them, when you get caught, you could be tried for fraudulent enlistment, which equates to a dishonorable discharge. Just tell them now and show integrity. It's one of the Army values, remember?
