I've seen
Way
Too
Many
Modern poets who merely fart about with structure to make their
'Poems'
Seem worth respect.
Although I'd love to think otherwise,
FREE VERSE,
To me
At least,
Shows how well-made structural patterns are deemed to
...Old...
...Fashioned...
And so are replaced with prose
Which is shoved into
A
Verse
Form
(of sorts)
To make it seem like a real poem.*
*Nick Laird is a great example of a crap modern poet showing how useless Free Verse is. As is Carol Ann Duffy, the pretentious b!tch.
