yet another symptom---excess saliva

Has anyone experienced excessive saliva in their mouth? I have had this GERD for over two years, and I know that symptoms can vary within and across people. My latest "new" one is that I am noticing a lot of saliva in my mouth at times. I especially notice it when I am talking to people, as I have to consciously swallow so that I don't make a fool of myself and let it drool out! I recently (January) increased my Nexium to twice a day, so not sure if it's related to that, but it's just been in the last month or so that I've noticed it. As with so many of our symptoms, it's not there all the time......
 
It's called "waterbrash" and is common when the acid comes up and much more mucus is produced to protect you. Ironic that all this mucus protecting us is one of the awful symptoms of reflux.
