I am enjoying films at the moment like Ratcatcher, Morvern Caller and Sweet Sixteen

I have only watched the last one on that list at that moment

There is a similar kind of film I'm trying to find. I know it is definitely British and I believe by a female director

I think one of the characters has learning difficulties and is bullied. There is also a scene at the end, where I think after taking something, there is a chase through a library by a gang, where one of the characters works. Also I'm sure that one of the characters lives next door to a grandparent. It was on late night BBC1 a few months ago

I don't think it is one of the films I mentioned, definitely not Sweet Sixteen. It might be Pure and I'm getting mixed up

Can anyone help as I want to buy the DVD if it's not one I've got

I'll try and see if I can remember more information

I can't remember a boy with learning difficulties, bullying or a library in Pure.

Yeah I know, I was just telling you that I can't remember anything so that you don't have to bother with Pure when trying to find out the film.

No it's not that one. The one I'm thinking of was made after 2000

I tried to do a search on IMDB, but I didn't have much luck

I'm sure there was bullying in the film and I think gets killed at the end. Also possibly the girl is either his sister or someone he wants to be his girlfriend. That's all I can remember at the moment

Was it Small Faces? There is a scene in a museum, (not a library) and one of the characters is not too bright, one of the other boys is into art and wants to go to art school.

Ooops sorry I see it was made after 2000, so not this one.

I've recently bought the DVD of Small Faces, but haven't watched it yet. It sounRAB familiar. I'll have a quick scan through the DVD to check as I do remember certain scenes

It may be that I had some of my information mixed up with another film

UPDATE:

I've just checked the DVD, and it definitely isn't Small Faces
