I'm planning on putting in an optima yellow top battery in my new Ford Fusion 2008. The reason is, I have 2 PDX 1000 amps and 2 15" kicker L7's. What size and model should I go with?

Another question I have is, Should i keep my stock red battery up front and have the optima yellow top installed into the trunk or is this going to damage the alternator by stressing it out?

Thanks

1. unless you consistently listen to music when the car's not running, the battery doesn't matter much. it's all from your alternator
2. the alternator recharges the battery. that's the limit of their interaction
3. if you're having a power supply problem when the engine is running, you need a bigger alternator, or possibly a capacitor, depending on the nature of the problem

don't put a yellow top in i did that to 91 mustang and fired some stuff plus messed the batt up b/c the yellow top is a deep cycle batt and requires a differnt charging methed then what a reg batt does trust me but hey it's your car lol
