From what you are describing it sounds like you may have pingueculas, which are fatty deposits that occur on the whites of your eyes. They are harmless and are usually caused by exposure to sun, dust, dry air, wind etc.
If they start to encroach toward the colored part of your eye, you might want to check in with your eye doc. But again, they are harmless in general unless you start to have irritation and soreness. Then there are lubricating drops your doc can give you.
In the meantime, if you are in a sunny, and/or windy environment, wear sunglasses if you don't already- that helps to protect your eyes from getting more of these "things"!
