I have an exam coming soon and was hoping to grab some help on a tricky question out of my textbook;
The question exactly;
A large Christmas decoration in the shape of a Santa is to be hung above the street by the city council. To suspend it above the middle of the roadway it will need two cables: one attached to a light pole and the other to the side of a building. If the cable attached to the light pole makes an angle of 40 degrees with the horizontal and the tension in the cable attached to the building is 200N determine;
a) The mass of the Santa
b) The angle between thee horizontal and the cable attached to the building.
Basically;
To the left of Santa (lightpole) is a triangle that reads the Hypotenuse being 100N and the angle 40 degrees.
The right of Santa (building) is a Hypotenuse of 200N and an unknown angle.
I have no what to do.
Respond quickly please!!!!!
