Yawning for hours

Hello,

Every so often, I get "spells" of yawning. The yawns are not ordinary yawns, they are so deep that I have to stand still when they come. They last perhaps 30-45 seconds. I can yawn on and off for as much as an hour or two, then stop, then it begins again. When I am in a yawning spell, it is yawn after yawn. It gets very annoying since they are so deep and I can't stop them.

Does anyone have an idea what this might be? I can't isolate what makes them happen.

Yawning is often a way of getting extra oxygen into your body. Have you tried taking some extra deep breaths when you start this cycle of yawns to see if that will help with breaking the cycle of Yawns? Or try some execise to see if that will increase your oxygen intake to reduce the yawning...
