Just out of curiosity... do you only root for the perennial winners in the other sports as well, or just in baseball? I'm guessing that most of you who follow basketball probably root for the Lakers (or North Carolina in the NCAA), and for hockey it's the Red Wings, and in football it's the Giants or Steelers....
