Ok, so the starter motor turns over and i can hear the cylinders pumping but i cant get it to start. The battery is dead so i'm using jump leads from a spare car battery. I have checked the spark plug and it looks fine (and i have switched it with a known working one), but no spark is created. After turning it over for a while i can smell petrol. I do have a multimeter handy and the haynes manual but still i don't seem to be getting very far. Any help would really be appreciated, thanks in advance

Is there anything wrong with using a car battery ? i also have a suzuki en125-2, would it be ok to use this battery ?
