the bike's engine? Every now and then the spark plug stops working, probably because oil is getting in to its tip. However I put minimum amount of oil along with petrol. The bike doesn't start after that and I have to get the spart plug cleaned. After 3 of 4 days the problem repeats. I have shown my bike to "n" number of mechanics in Bangalore, each fellow tells me different causes. What could be the exact cause? I have in mind replacing the bore-pistion kit. Is there some other cause for this problem? Please advise ...

There are too many reasons to list for this, the air fuel mixture could be wrong, the rings could be going bad, spark plug could just simply need to be replaced, as well as a hundred more possibilities.

First check to see if you have spark, take out spark plug and keep the plug wire connected, put tip of plug against cylinder and turn over motor, look for a spark between plug and cylinder. (try and do this in the darkest place possible) If no spark than you have a bad plug. Change plug it should solve problem. Simplest fix but most likely not the problem. If new plug still doesn't have spark then you have a major electrical problem and need to see a mechanic.

Next try and adjust the air fuel mixture screw (refer to a manual for your bike)

If that doesn't work try and test compression. Look in repair manual for proper specs. If compression is bad you might need rings.

If these don't solve the problem or at least give you an answer than you will have to see a mechanic.

GOOD LUCK!! (hope this helps)

Firstly, perhaps replace the plugs instead of having them "cleaned". In my experience, cleaning spark plugs is a wasted effort. If you arent getting spark on the plugs when you put them against the head and fire the ignition, then it's also possible that your ignition coils are breaking down. If the problem occurs after it gets hot and has been running, and then gets no spark, then I would test the ignition coils, and go from there.
