After a summer with my current 600cc '04 R6, I want to move up.
I love my bike to death but I have had it for a while and it does have high mileage (25K) so rather than keeping that, I'm looking at upgrading to either of those bikes while selling mine to someone that may want it as a starter bike. Runs perfect, looks great, flawless bike so it'll make somebody happy in a few months.
Anyway, earlier tonight, I took out my buddies CBR1000 while he took out mine. According to him, my R6 is really slow haha. Not really... hit high 10s quarter mile but I fell in love with his and mine isn't really much compared to that.
But, I have always loved the R1s. Big fan of Yamahas. Especially the generation of 2004-2006. I'm just debating on which one to pursue? I love how the CBR rode and felt but I feel the same about the R1. I'm so confused... I know I'll be happy with whichever but I'm looking at seeing if anyone has info about which one they would choose and why?
Also, not gunna be used as a track bike. I'll go there and race it sometimes but I want it as a daily rider and as something that is enjoyable whenever I hop on it.
