I was given this ATV along with this info. "It ran when I parked it, but it has the wrong carb on it. Carb needs to be replaced and oil needs changed. I think it is a 1992."
I pulled the atv to the house, and now I am trying to figure out how to proceed with this project. It has been sitting up for 2 years now under a porch. The Batt. is dead (of course) and the key will not turn. Is there some type of interlock on these atvs that requires brakes to be pushed to turn the key? Also I have had no luck in finding the VIN so I am in the dark about what model this might be. My plan is to putt a batt in it and try to get it to start before spending the money on the carb. Is this a good idea do you think? What would be the best way to proceed?
