My cousin has a Yamaha moped that she bought about a year an a half ago. She kept it in our garage over the winter. Over the last couple of months, we've brought it out and tried to get it working, but it doesn't want to stay running. It'll start and will idle for about a minute and then die; if you put it into gear, it dies. I don't know generally you have to wait before it'll start again, but basically, it wont run for very long when it does start and can't be driven.
We've tried a fuel treatment to try and clean it out, but that didn't help. We're not sure what else could be the problem, as none of us has had a moped before.
What should we be looking for; what should we test or try?
