the indicator bulbs are 12 volt - do I need to change these to 6 volt ? Or is it ok to keep them running as they are

the electric system on the yam is 6 volts
you should change the bulbs
but it is likely that due to an elecrical problem the previous keeper has fitted 12v bulbs to prevent them from blowing

Yes, 6v is the specified battery, worst that can happen is the bulbs wont be very bright, It may be that the prev owner had diff finding correct bulbs. .

change them to 6 volt bulbs...im surprised they flash,but they will be dull....6v bulbs are hard to come by,i get mine off ebay
