Yamaha Aerox Seat wont open!?

Basically , my seat wont open , i reckon the springs gone in it, ive tried brute force , ive took the plastics off and had a tamper, ive tried using a screwdriver to prize it open and all this doesnt work!

Anyone got any ideas before i get the cro-bar?
