yahoo messenger on cell phone?

i have yahoo messenger on cell phone and it works fine but trying to type a message is difficult you push for your letter on phone and it don't give you the right letter it makes hard to write what you want to say it has preset phrases but caint find way to change to alphanumaric cause that would help the phone is a boost i335 iden motorola
