YAHOO MESSENGER 9 / 10 when I switched over I get booted when I enter a chat room WHY?

every time that I enter a chat room I get a POP UP saying YAHOO MESSENGER not responding then shuts down ??? WHY
I can chat with people on my friends list with no problems
