Yahoo chat in Yahoo mail problems?

I used to be able to chat in the new Yahoo mail. Now the drop down list for chatting isn't even visible in my mail! But when I switch back to the classic mail, the chat window appears and I'm able to chat. But I was hoping to chat using the new mail. Help!

P.S. I checked the system requirements and I believe my Mac here at work is able to support them.
