Wondering if someone willing to explain to me (I'm Lutheran, but not practicing) how it is someone for attempted murder of a child, adultery, killing animals, lying, raping, stalking, etc. can show up at church and confess and get the clean slate or come to church to seek sanctuary and hide out indefinitely? I've heard of it before but never understood it-- if it's that easy, how come all the other criminals in GC haven't tried it--Kevin, Jana, Amber, Daniel, etc....
