...civilization are destroyed? Lets say you're a member of a new civilization that inhabits the earth. The only remains of the old civilization you could find were two books. One book was the auto biography of Mark Twain and the other book was Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets. The actual books themselves were found in the same location and date back to around the same time.
Do you think you could tell which one is fiction and which one wasn't if you had nothing to go on but the content of the book? How would you tell? What thought process would you use? In general what sort of red flags might you run into while reading Harry Potter?
I doubt either book explicitly state "this is the truth!". If so in my opinion that WOULD be a red flag.
Blah Blah, that couldn't be your only criteria. Do tell us more.
The new civilization would be advanced and intelligent by this time. They might even be aliens. Stop nitpicking and answer the question.
I specifically said all you had to go on was the content of the books. Why are you guys talking about what God would tell them? Did you not understand the parameters of the question? You Christians are honestly claiming to be incapable of deciding if Harry Potter is real or not without God whispering in your ear? You guys are flat out full of $#*+
Edward the Less: I had to use the shorter version because I had to fit hypothetically in the question and I was running low on characters. The first time I asked this question I decided to leave out 'hypothetically' and spell out 'Christian' and the only answer I got was "That wont happen! The world will be destroyed by then1!!!" Check my question history and see for yourself.
