I have a 1982 Honda XL500R restoration going on. This bike has little in common with my 1981 XL500s. My question is..Is the 1983 XL600r nearly the same with most parts interchangable ? Of course I know the cc's displacement differs. Particularly the gas tank. I am finding several desert gas tanks for the 600 but not the 500.
