i recently upgraded to windows 7 build 7264 and i'm trying to stream my movies. i had vista before upgrading and i watched them through the dashboard even though media center for vista did work on my 360 (just a codec problem). i can watch my movies through the dashboard with windows 7 but i wanted to try the media center cause i read they fixed the codec support for it. it setup perfectly but when i try to connect with the xbox it'll sit there for a while trying to connect then i'll hear opening music like its finally coming on then i get the connection failure. i don't know whats wrong.

i've tried disconecting the extender from the xbox and starting over - didn't work.

i've checked my firewall, even disabled it (eset) - didn't work windows firewall isn't on.

i'm on a wired connection through router both ways (computer to router, xbox to router)

on windows media center i'll say xbox setup and ready, then if i cut my xbox off it'll instantly say setup but not ready, then when i cut it back on it'll instantly say ready again so its not a connection problem.

i got my media shared to my 360 through the group manager in control panel.

i'm out of ideas. yes i know windows 7 is still beta but i've searched around and people have gotten it to work on windows 7.
