First, I'm Silver and have really enjoyed my games (BioShock, CoD4, Enchanted Arms, G. Hero2, Lost Odyssey, M. Effect, Oblivion, Rock Band) offline. Second, I'm not thrilled at the idea of paying $50/year to listen to some sniper howl "pwned j00!" and ruin the game for me every five seconds. Third, even if they are MMOs, I don't like the extra fees assoc with some games like PSU and FFXI, it seems like double-dipping that MS should take care of. Fourth, with PS3's virtual Home and improving free network, 360 Gold seems to be losing value.

Considering all that, do Gold people think I'd enjoy being on there? Tho I like mainly RPGs, I've been getting into shooters at lot more since getting the 360. Love CoD4. Going to buy Gears and a few other shooters. People say 360 is nothing without the online, but I'm not convinced of that. Esp because I don't intend to live on my 360 24/7. I may try it for a month, tho most of my current games don't do anything with Gold, just CoD4 and Rock Band.

I've got gold and we pay £35/year here which I strongly object to. I think it's a disgrace. I will not buy any games that require subscription as that is just totally wrong. Similarly with games that come out and then they offer new maps for a small fee afterwards. It's all wrong! I support the PS3 and their free network, thats the way it should be. Problem is, most of my mates are on the 360 to if you want to play with them, you've got to pay.
Having said that, games like Gears of War and CoD4 are brilliant online, but what gets me is you get 10yr olds playing them and a lot of teenagers (they're supposed to be over 16/18 games) and all they do is whine and call everyone a mother f*cker. It all gets a bit pathetic at times and clearly shows a lack of vocabulary. On the other hand, it's fun to take the p*ss out of them, especially some of the americans on there as they get so riled by it!
