Xbox 360 headset question?

Ok, I just got a headset for xbox 360, and i set it up. I dont want others ppl voice comming out of my headset. I want it to come out of the screen, but I still wana be able to talk at the same time. Does anyone know how to do this? Thank you very much
 
just turn the volume down in your ear piece and go to the settings and say you want to hear it through the speakers
