When I start up my 360, with no game in the drive, it makes a distinct noise: like a short grinding sound, followed by a second, slightly longer one. It also does this whenever closing the tray without a disc in it. Is this normal?
Just bought it a week ago. The machine's Lot# 806, manufactured Feb 6, 2008. It got a Ben Q DVD drive. Other than this grinding noise, I haven't experienced any problem - no overheat, no RROD, no disc scratching. (Well, it's only a week)
Thanks for any help. Or if your XBOX360 makes the same noise, please post and tell everyone if your machine is still working well.
