Xbox 360 controller issue?

My xbox 360 controller connects to my 360 just fine, but when you unlock an acheivement or a friend signs on isnt the quadrant your on supposed to flash? If it does mine only flashes once like when I log in if friends are on and thats it. not for acheivements or if another friend signs on. Also I would like to state I do not need new Batteries......I tried that. But my main concern is,does this problem have to do with my Xbox 360 or is it the controller?(I dont care if its my controller Im buying three more soon anyway.)
 
Mine flashes all the time. Like in the middle of a game, it just starts flashing and spinning. It is just for test design of the game/controller. And when somebody signs in, it is just doing that to tell you. It also does it sometimes when it is loading something big, it is telling you to wait.
 
when you unlock achivements and when friends come on its supposed to flash... idk all the controllers arent the same i have 2 different controllers and one flashes about certain things than the other one. but other than that idk. dont worry aobut it i guess.
 
I think it is only meant to flash when you sign in, connect to the XBOX (I mean you and not somebody else using another controller) and just after the quadrants of light have done their spinning thing for low battery.
I have an XBOX 360 and those are the only times mine ever flashes.
Your controller does not have a problem as it sounds like normal behaviour to me
