XBMC has announced an Android version of the popular media sharing software is in the works. The software will be as full-featured as its desktop equivalent, but will rely mostly on software acceleration for the video playback. Currently XBMC for Android doesn't have a release date, but they have released the source code for anyone who wants to start tinkering and testing now.
