Xanax or Valium?

For some reason Valium does nothing for me. I love Xanax for anxiety and panic attacks. I can that Valium is supposed to stay in your system longer therefore last longer. But I have to take 20 mg in order to feel like the 1 mg Xanax. Does this make sense to anyone? They say 10 mg of Valium equals 1 mg of Xanax. But to me the effect is not even close!
 
MeRAB are weird like that! I for one felt nothing on 1mg xanax for my anxiety, but on valium i felt like i was walking around on the moon lol in a bad way though!
 
To me, those drugs are a goRABend. I don't abuse them whatsoever. Heck, I am still am on the script of 60 pills I was prescribed in Dec of 07. But the down fall for me is the Xanax feels like it is gone out of my system in like 3 hours. So I asked the doc is there something that stays around with a sustained feeling for awhile and he said Valium. But for me it does not do that. Is there something close to Valium that may work the same? I mean my bottle says to take 5 mg 3 times daily. I have to take 4 pills at once to feel any effects?
 
klonopin seems to work the longest for me, and my doctor said that it is supposed to. i used to take ativan, it works quicker, but wears off faster.

i only take half a .5mg pill, usually daily, been on that dose for quite a few years. never really needed to up the dose. so it's quite stable as far as i know.
 
How long does it take for you to start feeling the effects of Klonopin and how long do the effects last? Xanax works great for me but I am always open to trying something new.
