X3-Related Questions

Just got finished watching the movie, twas very good.

Took my little cousin and he'd said after the movie, that a few years back, he read an X-men book/story of some sort that basically told and 'extended' the story beyond the plotline of X3. First question: Does anyone know if that book exists and where I can find it?

Second question: I remember the story of the Pheonix from the cartoon of the 90's. For some reason, it took place in space, not on Earth. Regardless, has there been a release, DVD hopefully, of the old cartoon series? I could see how Fox might want to do such a thing, riding the wave of this movie.

they never actually found cyclop's body. i hope he's still alive.
 
The story was a mix of Ultimate X-Men, the Phoenix saga, and the Dark Phoenix saga. So there really isn't an actual timeline within the comics that follows X3, more like the writers of X3 picked parts they liked about the comics and threw them into it.
 
I still got a 1st edition x-men comic around here somewhere. Cyclopes and Wolverine were badasses in it.



To bad my cousin when I was little bent the hell out of the pages or itd be worth something.
 
cyclops was a leader and all around x-men, he was intelligent and versatile instead of having just one small use
he was a badass in the comics, movie...not so much
but you cant call him lame in general until you seen what his character is capable of and has lived thru

also i remember a comic timeline where he was transported to an alternate dimension, maybe that could be what happened instead of his death because i never bought into it in the movie and i always thought he was going to randomly show up again
 
Would the "cure" even work on Wolverine? Wouldnt his cells just regenerate back to normal if he was shot? Like in X2 when those soliders attack the school he gets shot with one of those tranquilizer darts but it has no effect on him.
 
It would work on him. The "cure" suppresses mutation. His healing factor is from mutation. If that healing factor was suppressed with the "cure", then yes he would be just as affected as anyone else.


However, it's a moot point anyway, as the "cure" doesn't appear to be permanent.
