x factor judges new format?

it has been discussed on the xtra factor that they may consider each judge taking a contestant from each category, not sure how they would puck who gets who, but what do you think of this idea? do you think it will work, would you like to see it, or do you have a better idea for a new judging format? also who would you like to leave and who would you like to see replace them?
 
I don't really get what that means. As in they would each only take one contestant to mentor. What would happen to the other ones? I think Cheryl should leave and I would like to see someone older who has been in the business longer replace her.
