WTF are with essays???

I know this is not life threating, but, my fuc*ing english teacher keeps giving me like two damn essays a week, and I can't deal with that shit because i have other classes. Maybe its because she has to take the elevator instead of the steps because she is tooooo fucking fat and hates everyone:gun:
 
The purpose of assigning two essays per week is to make better writers out you bastards! Hopefully, these writings will improve your writing mechanics as well your argument skills. It is said that most American newspapers and periodicals are written on about an 8th grade reading level. That's ridiculous! The rest of world is laughing at us. Part of the reason for that is those journalists probably didn't write enough essays when they were in school! Get to work, damnit.
 
So? It's still good practice for things like the ACT. Personally, I don't see why people get their panties in a twist about essay writing. Maybe that's because I'm crazy and actually like writing essays.

Anyway, Woodreaux, it's more like a fourth grade level, which is pathetic.
 
Personally I think that writing papers is the best part of school. There are infinite blends of facts, opinions, and thoughts. It is the only thing in school that you actually have to use your brain to do. I have two teachers like that, the first thing they taught us, was not to look at how much you had to do, but to first take 15 minutes doing it, and by then it doesn't seem nearly as much. Heck, 15 minutes and you're about half done with the rough draft.
 
Totally agree with you there. I have to write essays all the time for my A.P Euro class and deal with my other classes but you don't see me bitch. Stop playing video games or whatever you are doing as a time-waster and work at whats really important.
 
The great thing about essays is being able to voice your opinion on the subject matter. The teacher can't fail your as long as your paper is written in the correct form, grammar, and stays on topic.
 
Out of all the things I do in english classes Writing essays is the one thing I really enjoy. Seriously, like grammer and spelling which I've always sucked at. I'd rather just jump right into the essay and learn from actually writing my opinion or stories then do exercises.
 
If it pisses you off so much that she makes you write 2 essays a week get her back. Write an essay on why you have to write an essay because your teacher is an uptight fat-ass cunt who has to take the steps to work of the twinkies she ate that morning.
 
Actually, from reading this and a couple of other posts his in here, along with this one. I actually think this boy needs some more study exercises about proper punctuation and proper capitalization, rather than a couple of essays a week. You can't learn proper grammar by getting continuous red marks on your essay reports.
 
I love writing essays. They are challenging and they require some sort of thought. (unlike the other mindless homework which is assigned) Also, as has been said, they improve your grammar, spelling, argumentative skills, defensive skills, persuasive skills, vocabulary, and a number of other things. Essays r 1337.
 
If your teacher assigns a heavy workload, then you should be able to get away with half-assing essays. Thats how I got through college composition. Instead of letting two essays take you twice as long to complete, try to finish them both in the time it takes you to normally finish one.
Soon you will perfect the art of speed essaying, very useful skill.
