wrongfully sentenced time in jail...?

thank god i liv in canada where u serve more than 2 weeks in jail for DUI. normally 6 months-3years in jail here for DUI
 
Me and a friend both had the same court papers for a DUI under 21 in the state of california. It was recommended to pay the fine, something like 1600 total, plus do 16 days work project. the fines could be knocked out if you serve the full 16 days in jail. . . next to the 16 days work project statement it states OR 48 hours jail... Well we both did not do Work project. I paid my fines and turned myself in on my warrent and they made me do 16 days jail... My friend had the same circumstances, but got busted and did 48 hours jail, in Lew of the WOrk project we both failed to complete. .... How do I proceed from here, I was wrongfully sentenced and deserve to be refunded for the fees paid... ????Thank you,
 
You have no recourse. You were both tried, convicted and sentenced. That your friend served less time in jail does not make your time wrong, just different.
