Wrong carrier on desktop - N73

Why is my N73 displaying UK's T-Mobile when it's a Virgin phone and sim?

I tried to change it in the settings, but it pretty much ignored the switch.

What might be up?
 
Since you just got your phone, I'd give it a hard reset with *#7370# and start over. See if that doesn't fix your problems.

Also, it might be a good idea to keep your questions about your new N73 in the thread you already started. They may be new questions unrelated to the original topic, but people will still help you out and it'll keep the forum much cleaner.
 
I assume that you are roaming? I wouldn't format for that reason. If you tried to manually switch it and it doesn't work, take the phone and SIM to your T-Mobile center and find out what's going on.

oh and angel_wing0, Virgin Mobile is GSM in the UK, not here sadly.
 
I actually updated the firmware and that INTRODUCED the problem. But will try the reset too.

Ok, my other question is how do you restore messages on your 6230 to the N73 which are strictly in the 'saved items' folder? Nokia PC Suite happily retreives those in your inbox, but I'm lost as to how to restore the saved messages too.
