okay so before my fiance left to boot camp for the Air Force i told him i wanted to write and that he said that he will write me first but he wasn't sure if i should write him or not because he had heard that some of the TI's will look through their mail and stuff..and he didn't want any of them coming up to him and being like ohhh look what your fiance wrote me she told me how much she loves me blah blah lol..now i know it sounds crazy and hes like don't send any picture they might just shove it in his face and be like ahaha look what she sent me lol..
now is this true?
i don't want to write him letters and them trying to shove it in his face and stuff..
hahaha
do they really look through the mail before giving it to them???
thank you!

I don't know if its the same, but my brother just graduated Marine boot camp (which has the harshest boot camp of all the branches) and yes, they did look through his mail, but it was just to make sure nobody was getting anything bad (tobacco, ect.) then they gave the mail to him and let him keep it. I don't think they would shove it in his face, but you should wait for him to write first, and be careful of what you send.

They won't go through his mail.

Also, right now he doesn't realize it, but if he's the only person at mail call who doesn't get a letter from his girl, he's going to feel absolutely awful. There really aren't words to describe that feeling.

You may want to abstain from sending pictures until he's at tech school, but DEFINITELY send letters - LOTS of them. He'll appreciate it.

they look through mail randomly but they cant make fun of him for it because thats an invasion of privacy and his t.i. could get dishonorably discharged for not respecting his rights.
