The dreams, they never seem to cease. They always find a way into my mind, always. That day has left its mark on me, a war scar. I did fight, at least I can be proud of that.(NEW PARAGRAPH) lay in bed and think about what I could have done to save them. My family. I might have been able to save more lives, even though I was only infact, a sixteen year old girl then, completely ignorant of the difference between my friends and enemies. To put it simply, I was a child. In the end, we all still would have died, that is, without my help. (NEWPARAGRAPH) At the age of sixteen, I was smart, not street smart, but school smart. I got all A's in my classes except for one, Russian.(NEWPARAGRAPH) All the parents of the children who attended Rainsford high, got together and made thier demands known to the principle. They demanded that some kind of language be taught to the students, whether it was african or french they wanted some kind of language education for there children. Once the priciple saw how important language was to the parents, she set off to find a employe, she wanted to make the adults happy, so instead of hiring the traditional spanish teacher, she hired a very charming middle aged man, Mr. Huggins who spoke Russian. (NEW PARAGRAPH)Mr. Huggins basically taught himself how to speak Russian. He learned to speak the language in Russia's capital, Moscow. He spent five years living their,with no knowledge of the language, and a Russian/English phrase booklet, but Mr. Huggins was very excelent with speaking, and soon he grasped their language, almost instantly. He stated that living in a foreign country was the best way to learn a language.
