This is my essay question...
"What would you include in a professional portfolio, and how would you use it to get a job?"
I can really use some help on this. I always have a problem of where and how to start on something like this. I will be graduating with an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice this December. The reason this is so hard for me to start is I have no experience...reason being I am a 47 year old dislocated furniture worker that had the opportunity to enter to college through TAA (Trade assistance program). I had been in furniture since 1988 and retail and fast food before that. I am finding it difficult to know how I would build a portfolio based on this work history. The upside is my GPA being 3.93.
I could really use some advice on how to approach the essay. I wouldn't be having such a difficult time if I had prior experience in the job related field and if I were younger and had more experience in doing portfolios and the English course of direction.
