I'm excited to have started writing my book! It's a LONG time coming!
Everything's planned out, and the characters are alive in my head! The plot is quite detailed, and the story's flowing onto paper like a dream.
Now I'm not stupid enough to say my book will be a bestseller before it's even 'born', but I've been researching successful books to gauge whether I could get there with it. Or even close!
I was surprised that many of the best sellers and prize winners have very simple plots! And the writing isn't particularly vivid! Quite honestly I haven't been blown away by any, or noted any common reasons for their popularity?
I'm not embarking on any courses yet or reading any How To books..
I'm interested in your opinion on what makes a best seller so popular and highly acclaimed? Is it as simple as it being an enjoyable read? Or more?
