...and stupidity? So, there are jokes and stories, not really rumors yet, involving myself and a co-worker who also happens to be a very good friend. These have persisted long enough (almost a year now) to tickle my creative (creative, mind you) imagination. It might be fun, as a writer, to explore the emotions, fallout, etc. involved in such a situation. The problem, at least for me, arises in particular readers having a hard time separating the speaker of a poem from the author. (They didn't have a hard time when I wrote as a woman, but that's another story.) AND, I have never been one to NOT share my writing . . . indeed, it would be extremely odd to start doing that with something like this, wouldn't it?
What would you do? To write, or not to write, what a silly question . . .
SIN: not really a fan of disclaimers . . . but in this case might be a good idea. They've always reminded me of the homophobe who likes Kevin Spacey in "American Beauty."
