So my mom had to go to the ER last month because she accidentally sliced her finger while slicing meat. It's on her forefinger on her left hand. She had to get stitches and then they took them out in 10 days and then after that they put some steri- strip on and then it fell off after a few days. Well, now it looks like the wound hasn't closed but got bigger. On the wound her skin on top is very hard and callused and it looks like it's receding. She said it's making room for the new skin? She might cut off the callused part and then let the skin grow out. So now what do we do?? I'm really worried!! Please help!!! Should we visit the doctor??? Thanks!
