...Michigan and move them? Shut them down & move them to Right to Work States. Because of the Recession the demand for cars is down. This will allow them the time to get the new plants built & get new employees trained. Also there will be some of the former employees that will see the writing on the wall and agree to move. Yes they will have to take a cut in pay and less benefits, but the alternative will be even less attractive.

That will not fix them. You have to remove the CEO's and break the unions and contracts, then they have half a chance. Chapter 11 is actually the better choice.

unions would not like that and the retired workers would be freaking out big time!!!!! looks like time to do big buy outs and offer packages to many workers paid for by tax payers plenty more bail out to come and no shortage of workers now .

The best plan for the car companies, is to completely get rid of unions. They are the ball-and-chain that keeps the companies weighted down as they drown.

Autoworker unions need disbanding. They are filled with lazy scumbags. I don't disagree with that. I know their types. I've managed their kids. I'd leave the state or country too if I had to deal with that.

Not while there's still good corporate welfare to be had in America... noone anywhere else will ever match what they're gettting
